Conquering The Stigma Of A Mental Health Disorder

March 11, 2009

Having a family member that is suffering a mental health disorder can be taxing at times. Depending on the severity of the disorder, many families have been broken up because of this. Some of them can be blamed on the lack of love or patience a family member can bestow. Some just cannot handle the pressure and others just cannot take the shame. But if the people around a person with a mental health disorder feels awkward, then what about what the actual person with the disorder feels. Many or most of these people are too afraid or ashamed to share their disorder with other people because they fear being ridiculed or judged. Even as seeing a psychiatrist or taking mental health disorder medicines are commonplace nowadays, many people still distrust a person with a mental health problem; they feel that they are too unstable and unpredictable. Fearing what they do not know, this ignorance causes more depression and damage to a person with a mental health disorder. Getting Over the Fear What mental health disorder patients want is for them to be considered as normal people...

Where Can You Get Qualified Financial Help In Retirement

January 8, 2009

The needs of people in retirement or about to retiree are different than those of baby boomers. Yet all you see in articles is advice for baby boomers on how to prepare for retirement. What about help for those age 60 who have already cashed in their chips or about to do so. There has been increased education, albeit slowly, for financial advisors to help people in retirement. But be careful about the several designations you may see. The most widely held senior designation, Certified Senior Advisor CSA is not a financial training at all. Although many financial professionals gain this designation, so do nurses, gerontologists, funeral home directors and others dealing with older people. The designation is really a training in communication skills and issues of aging and not in financial issues. The Certified Retirement Financial Advisor designation CRFA is ONLY for financial professionals that have at least 2 years experience in financial services. The enrollees seek to polish their retiree-specific financial knowledge and the course covers every aspect of financial...

Is International Child Adoption For You?

September 30, 2008

How do you know if international adoption is for your family. Well, there is no perfect definition of someone who would be a good potential adoptive parent, but answering the questions will help clarify whether international child adoption is for you. It s not for everyone. If your reason for adopting a child, anywhere, is to rescue him or her, this is not a good enough reason. If you are adopting a child to save your marriage, know that it usually only compounds the marital problems. If you are interested in adopting a child that has a certain IQ or learning capacity, no adoption is not for you. But if you have a warm and mature love for children and have the desire and flexibility to love, accept, and raise a child not born to you, international child adoption could be you. If you are interested in making a family, which would include an infant, toddler, or alder child, then international adoption is a viable option. If you are interested in giving a future to a child who otherwise might not have one, international adoption could be for you. If you think international...

Sell Your Products To Mexico By The Truckload

August 10, 2008

Mexico is the 1 importer of US products in the world. Mexicans are so eager to buy that they come to the USA looking for products instead of waiting around for someone to call them and sell them something. They visit US trade shows, organizations and many companies. I constantly have someone in San Diego visiting from Mexico to speak with me on how they can find products of all kinds to export. Who s looking for products. Mainly wholesale distributors and retailers. They are looking for products to sell in retail stores or to other distributors in Mexico, most of the time they will buy truckloads of product and export them to Mexico themselves, handling the shipping, imports and tariffs. Why do they do this. Why are they so eager to buy US products. Simple, they don t have Mexican made products they can sell and they want to be the first to carry a new American product. They know if they are the first to market with a new product they can make a lot of money very fast. After that they just restock their customer s shelves. The big question I m asked by my consulting...
